WE ARE 1976 / OUR DEAR ASSEMBLY
For over ten years, WE ARE 1976 has been one of the most engaging independent cultural meeting points in Dallas, Texas. Originally in Old East Dallas on Henderson Avenue, this family business began as a winsome gift shop offering beautiful and thoughtfully designed handmade objects and prints to become an internationally recognized destination for it’s carefully and lovingly selected collection of goods from Dallas and all over the world.
Through conscientiously developing and nurturing partnerships with the most purposeful creatives in Dallas, WE ARE 1976 concurrently became a progressive bastion for Dallas’s creative community. Through a diverse program of special events, workshops, gatherings, and gallery openings, WE ARE 1976 became a confluence of ideas and resources that supported, encouraged, promoted, mentored, and advocated Dallas’s local art and design community.
Today, WE ARE 1976 is located in the historic Bishop Arts District where the storefront shares space with its Creative Design Services and Letterpress Studio with four operating vintage printing presses. In addition to it’s in-house merchandise line of art prints, greeting cards, and stationery, WE ARE 1976 also collaborates with their clients in custom branding and design projects. From visual identity to print design, WE ARE 1976 deftly creates quality work that resonates and endures.
